Spanish Puppet Shows
I have my students do a puppet show as a way to give an oral presentation with the security of the puppet show stage. They are presenting the show in Spanish with only a written English version to help keep them on track.
I had to create this stage at the last minute using butcher paper because my card board version was sadly destroyed by workers during the summer. It worked out ok and the students had fun!

Math Foldables
Getting students to write about math can be a struggle. Sometimes all it takes is a couple of markers, a big piece of paper and room for creativity. High school students do like to make crafts! This foldable activity gets students to write about solving systems of equations, communicate what they have learned and be creative at the same time. Click here for directions. Spanish Comparisons Quick Draw Activity
We learned how to make comparisons in Spanish class today! Students created "quick draws" to illustrate the comparisons they wrote and then shared with the class. They had such a good time some insisted on taping theirs to the board to save them for other classes! (and YES, these are HS student drawings:))
